The following designs are all made for different in class assignments I’ve had to complete throughout my two years in the Graphic Design program at Canadore College.
Type Selfie Assignment - drawing of Wednesday Addams created In Procreate - Type added to face in Illustrator using type on a path and type in a shape - Monochromatic colour scheme.
Information Postcard Assignment - drawing of the cat in the espresso cup as well as the background and paw prints created in Procreate - Type in the espresso cup added in Illustrator using type in a shape - Orange cat because their personally my favourite - Mint green background to contrast the orange and add a playful feeling.
Animal Shapes Assignment - drawing of the Axolotls created using Illustrator - Colours of the Axolotls represent the colours of the Axolotls I own as pets - The logo represents an Axolotl rescue I made up and named A Lotl-Rescues as a play on words - Added font in Illustrator.
City of North Bay Centennial Logo Competition - For this assignment, we were tasked with designing the 100th anniversary logo for our local town North Bay. I chose to represent our town with its famous Chief Commanda II and the first ever train that came to North Bay.
Goal Setting Infographic - For this assignment we were tasked with making an infographic layout that shows off our longterm and short-term life goals. I went with a very old style internet look because it's a personal aesthetic I really enjoy. I also went with the colours purple and pink for the most part because for an assignment that represents my goals, I feel as though it should have some of my favourite colours as well.
Vintage Poster - For this assignment we were tasked with creating a vintage feeling poster of a landscape photograph. The photo I chose was one I took while at my cottage this summer.
